Talk therapy

In a 1:1 conversational setting, we explore the problems and situations that bother you.

My approach is inspired by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Behaviours, emotions and attitude to life are often strongly dependent on our thoughts (cognitions). Changing the way you think and behave often leads to new perspectives and makes negative feelings disappear.

By changing the way you look at things, the things you look at change - Wayne Dyer

Mindfulness (the ability to become aware of your thoughts, feelings, sensations and the physical environment without the need to judge) and meditation techniques are part of my approach. We can explore this field if this feels relevant to you.

A more body-oriented approach is possible, especially when you are feeling overwhelmed by stress and the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Clients comme to my practice for a variety of concerns:

  • Depression, low mood, bipolar disorder
  • Anxiety, phobia
  • Disease and physical concerns without any medical explanation to be found
  • Traumatic events
  • Stress, burn-out, chronic fatigue
  • Relationship issues, feeling different
  • Gender dysphoria
  • Not knowing how to achieve the change you want to make
  • Achieve a more efficient way of functioning in your work and/or daily life

Children under the age of 16 are first received in company of (one of) their parents. Before starting any therapy, both parents will be informed and asked for permission.
